6 The Millhouse – a fine place to stay for guests visiting or working in Oxford

A charming double room on the first floor of this large modern house located in an idyllic and peaceful setting a few metres from the river. 6 The Millhouse, in Sandford-on-Thames is a fine place for guests to stay if visiting or working in Oxford. As the house is located a stones’ throw from the Thames path, this is the ideal place to stay if on a cycling holiday, where you can cycle the whole path.

The beautifully presented small double room consists of a comfortable double bed, bedside tables and lamps, TV with Freeview and a wardrobe with drawers for ample clothes storage. Single persons or couples welcome although the hosts want to highlight that the room is small for two people for a long stay.

The professional hosts extend a very warm welcome to their visitors; a help-yourself continental breakfast is included and taken in the kitchen /dining room where visitors are also welcome to relax, and evening meals are available by arrangement with the hosts after arrival.

Visitors are welcome to use the microwave in the evening however, there is also the option to have light use of the kitchen as an optional extra. A lovely and professionally designed garden with furniture is available for visitors to enjoy on warmer evenings. Safe private off-road parking. Wireless internet.

There is a bus service to Oxford city centre and the railway station along the main Sandford Road, Oxford Science Park and Littlemore hospital are less than a mile away and the property is conveniently located for the A4074 to Reading and a few minutes from the A34 / A40 with their links to the M40 and the M4.
