A spacious and attractive self catering cottage in a garden near Oxford
Green Cottage is a self-contained cottage at the end of a quiet lane which ends in fields. It has been converted from a small barn within the large walled garden of the owners’ house – itself a pretty eighteenth-century Cotswold stone building. The cottage is private and cannot be seen from the main house.
You can park your car next to the cottage.
Green Cottage provides self-catering accommodation all on one floor. It sleeps four. There is also a futon for a fifth person if required – we make a small extra charge for this. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, and our visitors often comment on its restful and home-like atmosphere.
The spacious conservatory with futon opens into a large, light living room. Next to this is a fully fitted kitchen with dining area. Then there is a hall, which leads to a bathroom and two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed (150x200cm), and the second has two single beds (each 90x190cm). The bathroom has a bath with wall-mounted shower.
Northmoor and the Surrounding Area
Northmoor is a small, friendly village set among fields, with a 13th century church. There are walks that lead directly out of the village and that connect with the Thames Path – no need to get into your car. The village is also on the Oxfordshire cycle path. Pleasure boats can be hired locally.
There is a pub in the village which serves good food, three minutes walk away from the cottage. The nearest shop and Post Office are two miles away, and there are a variety of pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
