Situated a stones throw from the centre of Oxford, the Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace and the market town of Witney, Northmoor is the ideal location for your rural retreat, be it for business or pleasure. Rectory Farm enjoys a quiet and tranquil location perfect for recharging the batteries; exploring the local countryside, Thames Path or Oxfordshire cycleway; or venturing to local towns and attractions. Within the village, only a few minutes walk from the farmhouse, you can enjoy local ales, an array of wines and delicious locally sourced food at our award winning community pub – The Red Lion.

Our guest rooms (bed & breakfast)

The beautiful 16th Century farmhouse boasts 2 well appointed en-suite guest rooms – one double and one twin. Homemade cake, a pot of tea, and a warm welcome await your arrival, all to be enjoyed in front of the log burner in the guest sitting room. Guests can make use of the free superfast broadband, perfect for those travelling on business or just wanting to stay in touch with the world! In the morning you can enjoy a freshly cooked Aga breakfast using local produce, including eggs from our own hens.

Unfortunately children cannot be accommodated at the farmhouse, however they are most welcome to stay in one of our two self catering holiday cottages click here for more details.

The farm

Our little farm has been in the Florey family for four generations where we have a passion for producing amazing grass fed beef from our pedigree herd of North Devon Cattle. Continuing this tradition today, Robert and Mary Anne have been farming here since 1980 and have now been joined by their son and his family. The River Thames meanders through the meadows in which our herd grazes and our field margins are filled with flowers, bees, butterflies and other wildlife. We feel extremely lucky to call this beautiful little corner of Oxfordshire our home and look forward to sharing it with you.

“Join the Floreys in their family home at this 16th-century farmhouse close to the historic sights of Oxford and the River Thames. Mary Anne and Robert Florey are the fourth generation of the family to live at Rectory Farm, from where the couple rear a herd of pedigree cattle to produce high quality, flavoursome beef”.
