Sustainable Indulgence – The Story of Tutu Chocolates

Tutu Chocolates

As I walked into a cosy chocolate shop in the heart of Watlington, the aroma of rich cocoa enveloped me, drawing me deeper into its enchanting world and undoubted utopia for chocolate lovers. Greeted warmly by Milissa and Sarah, I was instantly made part of the Tutu family. Milissa, the head chocolatier and proud owner, was meticulously decorating Father Christmas chocolates that were nothing short of masterpieces.

Tutu Chocolate offers a taste experience that elevates a simple indulgence into a luxurious artisan adventure. From its inception in 2011, Tutu has carved a niche for itself, winning accolades including the Great Taste Awards and International Chocolate Awards – each a testament to Tutu’s quality and creativity. Milissa’s journey, from a hesitant Saturday girl to a passionate chocolatier, is woven into every chocolate she crafts. Her initial scepticism about chocolate was soon replaced by the complex flavours of artisan couverture chocolate, leading her down a path of discovery and eventual ownership of Tutu Chocolate. Her commitment is palpable, from her deep dive into the chocolate-making world to her heartfelt takeover of the business, ensuring that every piece of chocolate is not just eaten but experienced.

Sustainability is at the core of the Tutu Chocolate brand. They source their chocolate from fairtrade and rainforest alliance certified companies, ensuring that each delicious bite supports ethical and sustainable cocoa farming. This commitment extends beyond the chocolates to the packaging, which is biodegradable or recyclable, reflecting their dedication to environmental stewardship. Whether it’s for a corporate event, a delicious gift for someone special, or a personal treat, Tutu Chocolate offer bespoke creations that taste amazing and contribute to a greater good, making each chocolate a guilt-free luxury.

As I left, my arms laden with beautifully packaged chocolates, I was not only carrying gifts, but also a piece of Tutu’s heartwarming legacy and commitment to a better world.
