This enchanting evening recaptures the spirited charm of 1920s to 1940s Paris through the eyes of Eloise DeFleur, a fictional chanteuse whose life unfolded in the heart of the city’s swing scene. Portrayed by the talented jazz vocalist and actress Airlie Scott, Eloise’s story weaves through the timeless melodies and vibrant atmospheres of the era’s most beloved Parisian cafes and clubs.

Accompanied by an ensemble of accomplished musicians, including clarinetist Alice Mary Jelaska and cornet player Leigh Henson, Airlie Scott brings to life a rich tapestry of French chansons, gypsy jazz and early American swing. The performance is bolstered by the fiery strums of guitarists Andy Ruiz Palma and David Ahmed, along with the deep rhythmic pulses of bassist Alan Gibson. While not primarily a dance event, those who feel moved by the rhythm are welcome to swing and balboa dance in the designated floor area.
