Examination Schools

The Examination Schools is Oxford’s largest city centre conference venue with nearly 13,000 square feet of floor space. It is an exquisite Grade II listed historical and academic venue. We have the meeting room facilities and flexibility to cater for a variety of events.

The Examination Schools are especially suited to large academic conferences, corporate conferences, day meetings (AGMs, seminars, workshops), exhibitions, trade shows and large dinners (200-plus people). We provide an excellent conference centre setting with outstanding hospitality and a friendly and experienced support team, and we will work closely with you to ensure your event is a success.

North Writing School

This beautiful L-shaped room comfortably seats 330 people theatre style. It can be used by itself for talks, drinks receptions, lectures, or as exhibition and catering space in conjunction with South Schools.

South Writing School

Our largest room, South School can comfortably seat 440 people theatre style and is situated at the top of a sweeping central marble staircase.

East Writing School

East School is a rectangular-shaped meeting room located on the first floor, which comfortably seats 160 theatre style.

A large selection of rooms ideal for small day meetings, AGMs, product launches, seminars and workshops with set up flexibility including theatre style and boardroom style.
