ADHD Treatment in Oxford

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common disorder, occurring in around 5% of school-age children and 2.5% of adults, where people who are affected by ADHD typically show high levels of symptoms relating to poor concentration, disorganisation, impulsivity, hyperactivity and mood instability. Following diagnosis and the initiation of effective ADHD treatment, patients often see benefits beyond just the reduction of widely acknowledged ADHD symptoms.

ADHD Oxford treatment options

The ADHD Clinic offers a wide range of treatments for patients diagnosed with ADHD in the UK, for patients who have been diagnosed in other countries and need to change medication after moving to the UK and for those wishing to explore new or different treatment options.

In all cases, our Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Sally Cubbin, ensures that prescribed medications are appropriate to each patient and through ongoing, timely consulting, information provision and quality of communication with patients and GP’s, we provide patients with high quality and effective individual care.

The ADHD Clinic runs face to face clinics in Oxford and skype or telephone consultations anywhere in the UK.

ADHD Questionnaire

Take a simple ADHD questionnaire based on an internationally respected screening tool for ADHD. It is not diagnostic but provides an indication whether a full and professional assessment for ADHD should be considered. Start ADHD questionnaire here.

Dedicated to the treatment of adult ADHD

The ADHD Clinic has been established as one of the only dedicated adult ADHD treatment providers in the UK, in response to a growing understanding that this condition has been misunderstood, ignored and under-represented for too long.

Our aim is to provide the highest levels of psychiatric treatment together with unrivalled quality of care, ongoing support and information that we provide to our patients and their families.

We aim to ensure that patients do not have to wait long to be seen. For patients who find it difficult to travel to clinic, whenever possible we will try to offer skype assessments or telephone follow up. We also aim to provide information which is understandable, sympathetic and can be used by patients in their real lives.

It is estimated that around 2.5% of adults in the UK live with ADHD.
