Oxford’s legendary Tibetan restaurant and food stall, serving the the best momo dumplings, curry and the best Tibetan food this side of the Himalayas.
Taste Tibet is the food of Yeshi Jampa. Born and brought up in rural Tibet, Yeshi learned to cook nomadic food at a young age. When he was nineteen, Yeshi walked across the Himalayas to northern India, where he and Julie later met. They share a passion for food and wellbeing, and have made it their mission put Tibetan food on the map.
Taste Tibet restaurant opened during the second UK lockdown in November 2020. In 2021 it was a finalist in the Best Street Food or Takeaway category of the BBC Food and Farming Awards!
The restaurant is for everyone serving a mix of street food favourites and some unique Tibetan dishes. Informal dining at a sensible price. There are no table bookings, so please just stop by when works for you. You can also pop in any time for hot takeaway or to raid our freezers.
