Formerly, The Falcon Hotel, and recently refurbished, The Oxford Townhouse is an Oxford hotel offering bed & breakfast accommodation located within a 10-minute walk of Oxford city centre.

Our 15 air conditioned rooms are spread over 4 floors in 2 connected town houses. We have 2 rooms in the eaves with small double beds that are ideal for single users. All the other rooms have double or king size beds (US queen size) and are suitable for one or two guests.

The interior design of the rooms is simple and relaxing. We have chosen different furniture designs for each room to ensure that the room actually works for our guests, so in some rooms there will be one easy chair and in others there may just not be room enough for any extra seating at all.

Classic single
These rooms for one person are in the eaves on the second floor at the back of the hotel. Rooms are not large but have a small double bed.

Classic Twin
These rooms are on the ground floor (up the 8 front steps) and are set up for 2 people. Both rooms overlook the back of the hotel.

Classic Double
These rooms are on the first and second floors and all are at the back of the hotel away from the main road.

Classic King
Two of these rooms are on the second floor and one is in the semi- basement; all overlook the front of the hotel.

Superior King
These rooms are on the first floor overlooking the front of the hotel towards The Thames. The rooms and bathrooms are slightly larger than other rooms.

Breakfast is our Speciality

Some people maintain that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Even if that is not the case it is the only meal that we serve at The Oxford Townhouse so we strive to get it right!

We have put a lot of effort into sourcing the best ingredients for your breakfast including creating our own sugar free muesli and granola, and making our own vegetarian ‘Glamorgan Sausages” from cheese (vegetarian), leeks, herbs and breadcrumbs. We also grill the little known middle-cut of bacon which is specially dry-cured for us from their own pigs by local butcher Patrick Strainge; and Hedges in the Covered Market supply us with their hand-made ‘Oxford Sausage’, a traditional pork sausage with all natural ingredients including Sage.
