OxTrail2024 runs from 6th July to 29th August 2024
OxTrail2024 is a vibrant and community-driven event set to captivate Oxford this summer. The city streets have come alive with a colourful herd of 138 large and mini ox sculptures. Each piece is a unique creation, painted by local artists, schools, community groups, and media outlets, designed to bring together art, culture, and charity in one unforgettable experience.
The fun doesn’t stop with the trail. On 13 September 2024, OxTrail will culminate in an exciting auction at the Saïd Business School in Oxford, where the large oxen sculptures, along with a selection of mini oxen, will be sold. This event offers both in-person and online bidding, providing a unique opportunity to own a piece of this spectacular display. All proceeds from the auction will directly support Sobell House Hospice, helping to continue its vital work within the community.
For those eager to join the trail, printed maps are available at the OxTrail Hub Shop in Westgate, Oxford, as well as at all nine Sobell House Hospice charity shops throughout the city. A suggested donation of £2 for each map you collect will ensure Sobell House Hospice covers the cost of producing the maps, and also raises vital funds for their services
